Dylan Sampson ran for 139 yards and two touchdowns for the Volunteers (6-1, 3-1 Southeastern Conference). The win retains Tennessee within the hunt for a spot within the College Football Playoff.
The Crimson Tide (5-2, 2-2) can have their work reduce out for them the remainder of the season. Alabama’s quarterback Jalen Milroe he struggled, connecting on 25 of 44 passes for 239 yards, one landing and two interceptions. Alabama ran for simply 89 yards in comparison with Tennessee’s 214.
