On Aug. 29, Daniel J. and Caitlin E. Marusak bought the 9-acre island from the Cocumscussoc Association, which manages the close by Smith Castle historic website, for $416,000, in keeping with metropolis tax data. The asking value was $899,000.

According to North Kingstown tax data, Rabbit Island, in Wickford Cove, was bought by an East Greenwich couple for $416,000.
