NEW YORK — Veteran NBC News reporter Andrea Mitchell stated Tuesday that she plans to finish her weekday MSNBC present after a brand new president is inaugurated and return to a reporting position.
Mitchell, 77, has hosted “Andrea Mitchell Reports” on daytime programming since 2008, longer than anybody else on the community. He has labored for NBC News since 1978, masking each main political conference since 1980.
He will proceed to report for NBC News, and the community stated he will probably be part of main breaking information and political occasions.
“After 16 years of spending every single day within the presidency, I would like time to do extra of what I really like most: extra connecting, listening and reporting on the bottom, particularly as whoever is elected president will undertake the big process of managing two overseas wars and the divisions insurance policies right here at residence,” he stated on his program.
Mitchell will retain his titles as NBC News’ chief overseas affairs correspondent and chief Washington correspondent.
