China will ban shipments to the United States of a number of “dual-use” objects utilized in semiconductor manufacturing and navy functions, as Beijing reacts to semiconductor restrictions unveiled by Washington on Monday.
China’s Ministry of Commerce mentioned on Tuesday it won’t permit the export of dual-use objects associated to gallium, germanium, antimony and superhard supplies to the United States and can implement stricter controls for graphite-related objects.
The objects are utilized in semiconductor manufacturing and in navy functions reminiscent of ammunition.
Washington on Monday imposed a sequence of recent sanctions designed to gradual the advance of China’s semiconductor business.
