Cuba struggles to emerge from a nationwide blackout

Cuba’s capital was partially lit Tuesday after a large-scale blackout spawned a handful of protests and a stern authorities that warned any dysfunction can be punished. The extended nationwide blackout that adopted a large outage Thursday night time was a part of nationwide power issues that led to the biggest protests in Cuba in almost 30 years in July 2021.
