TOKYO: Japan recorded its warmest autumn since measurements started 126 years in the past, the climate company mentioned, delaying the nation’s fashionable seasonal foliage shows till December.
“This 12 months was 1.97 levels Celsius larger than regular… making it the warmest autumn since 1898, when statistics started,” the Japan Meteorological Agency mentioned on its web site Monday (Dec. 2) .
Between September and November the temperature was 2.4 levels hotter than regular in Tokyo, 2.9 hotter within the central metropolis of Nagoya and 1.2 hotter within the northern metropolis of Sapporo.
The climate has delayed the nation’s fall foliage season, when vacationers flock to see the leaves flip vibrant reds and yellows.
