SOCHI, Russia (Reuters) – President Vladimir Putin on Thursday congratulated Donald Trump on profitable the U.S. presidential election, praised him for exhibiting braveness when a gunman tried to assassinate him, and stated Moscow was prepared to speak to the newly elected Republican president.
“I want to congratulate him on his election as president,” Putin stated on the Valdai dialogue membership within the Black Sea resort city of Sochi.
