On Sunday, November 3, it was introduced that music legend Quincy Jones had died on the age of 91, along with his consultant sharing the unhappy information with the world by means of an announcement launched in Variety.
And now Quincy’s daughter, Rashida Jones, has launched a private assertion about her father’s dying on her Instagram web page, with the Parks and recreation star leaving his followers emotional with the touching tribute.
“When I used to be little, I might get up in the midst of the night time in search of him. No doubt, he could be someplace in the home, composing (old skool, with pen and sheet music). He would by no means ship me again to mattress,” Rashida recalled. “He smiled and carried me in his arms as he continued to work… there was no safer place on the earth for me.”
“He was a large. An icon. A change of tradition. A genius,” he continued. “All correct descriptions of my father, however his music (and ALL his work) was a conduit for his love. He was love. He made everybody he ever met really feel beloved and seen. This is his legacy.
“I used to be fortunate sufficient to expertise this love up shut,” concluded Rashida. “I’ll miss his hugs, his kisses, his unconditional devotion and his recommendation. Dad, it is an honor to be your daughter. Your love lives ceaselessly.
