The 1-year-old daughter of San Francisco 49ers cornerback Charvarius Ward has died after battling coronary heart issues since start.
Department posted on Instagram that his daughter, Amani Joy, died Monday morning.
“He was the most effective blessing we may have requested for, and his joyful spirit had us smiling from ear to ear,” Ward wrote. “He taught us to have endurance, confidence and a constructive outlook on life. He confirmed us true power and braveness. He overcame adversity at a younger age and was at all times completely satisfied, brightening up any room along with his smile. Have the privilege of being the her dad and mom and seeing the world by way of her eyes has modified us for the higher. She will endlessly be Daddy’s finest buddy and Mommy’s little woman. We will miss you and love you endlessly, Amani Joy.
Amani Joy Ward was born prematurely with Down syndrome and underwent open-heart surgical procedure in April 2023.
The 49ers stated in a press release that the workforce is “devastated” by his demise.
“Amani actually embodied pure happiness and introduced pleasure to everybody round her together with her candy demeanor and infectious snort,” the assertion learn. “We will proceed to mourn with Charvarius and Monique, sending them our love and assist throughout this unimaginable time.”
The 49ers will say goodbye this week.
The 28-year-old Ward has began all 41 video games since signing with the 49ers in 2022 and was voted second-team All-Pro final season. He performed all however 4 defensive snaps in Sunday evening’s win over Dallas.
