At least 4 individuals died and two are lacking after an explosion in a mine in northern Spain, the officers say.
The explosion passed off within the Cerredo Mine in Degaña, Astuias, about 450 km (278 miles) north-west of Madrid round 09:30 native time (08:30 BST).
At least three others have been injured, based on native emergency providers, and a seek for disappeared staff is underway. The hearth and rescue providers have been despatched to the scene.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez despatched his condolences to the households of the victims.
