About 4,900 river turtles with yellow tip, also called Tracajás, have been launched within the Igapó-Açu river, in Brazil.
The threatened species lives within the river basins in northern South America and the Federal University of Amazonas has managed initiatives geared toward bettering the variety of turtles for a decade.
At that point, over 70,000 turtles have been freed to stay in nature.
